During this unit we have discussed multiple topics of accessing information. The first week we discussed copyright infringement, and effective ways of searching the web. In order to avoid copyright laws you must give credit to the creator of the information that you are using. While we discussed searching the web we looked at different browsers and how to define your search. We then evaluated different websites and talked about how to determine if the website is credible. Some main points from that was to see if the website lists the author of information, organizations affiliated with the website, bias within the information, and how current the information is. Following the web evaluation unit we then discussed ways of creating data and ways of expressing it. We did this by creating a survey on google docs. We then compiled information in excel and with that information we were able to create pie charts and bar graphs, which is essential in displaying our information from our survey.
